Legend case sealer '... the reasons for buying the Legend today are just as valid today as they were when it was first introduced ...'

It is not often you come across a living Legend, if indeed it is allowable to call a machine 'living'. But the Loveshaw designed and built Legend case sealer is celebrating its 7th birthday in July 2008. This versatile uniform case sealer continues to go from strength to strength.

Taking the best elements of a number of previous case sealers, the Legend consolidated what had been 4 separate packaging machines into 1 new, versatile & robust uniform case sealer. It took the heavy duty construction of the Little David LD3E, combined it with the low box height of the Little David LD19, and
added the extended side rails of the Little David LD19PT (for easy positioning of the box to be packed), also the folder mailer option from the Little David LD15 is compatible. In addition to this, the opportunity was taken to incorporate some unique features. For the first time an enclosed counterbalanced stainless
steel mast was used, the side rails were interlinked for simple centring, and in common with the Little David case sealers of today, self tensioning belts, and only one motor & gearbox were used, thus minimising the maintenance requirements on this packaging machine.

It is also worth to note that the time taken to remove the tape cartridges on the new Legend case sealer was reduced to less than 10s each, and it was the first Little David packaging machine to be fully height adjustable for the operator.

Kevin Green, the Loveshaw Europe General Manager goes on to add, " the reasons for buying the Legend today are just as valid as they were when it was first introduced. It still probably covers the widest range of boxes seen in a standard, uniform case sealer available in the market. Its versatility and capability for low box heights (from 50mm) make it well suited to the constantly changing environment that end-of-line packing and dispatch operations find themselves in. The Legend always did, and continues, to provide superb value for money. "
